▍I’m pregnant. Do I still have to work the graveyard shift?

Pregnant foreign workers are not allowed to work the graveyard shift

In order to protect expectant mothers, employers are not allowed to assign women who are pregnant or breastfeeding to work at night (from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning). Any violation of this rule by an employer is punishable by law.

According to Paragraph 5, Article 49 of the Labor Standards Act, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding cannot work between the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Violators can be fined between NT$90,000 and NT$450,000.
