▍Scams involving owed customs duties or fines

“Your package has been seized by customs officials please remit NT$8,000 to account number xxxxxx”

“You are about to receive a package valued at US$5,000 on which you will be required to pay tax.”

→ These are examples of scam messages

1. In the event of any customs sanctions the Customs Administration will issue a written receipt detailing the objects seized.

2. Customs duties and fines are remitted to the National Treasury

*If you have questions, take your receipt and make inquiries at the local customs office or ask your employer to help.
