Police: Drunk driving is not allowed whatever vehicle you are driving. If you refuse to comply you will be fined NT$2,400 for refusing to take a sobriety test while riding an electric bicycle.
Under Article 73 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act, drivers who refuse to take a sobriety test will be fined NT$2,400.
In addition, in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Service Act, serious violations of laws and regulations in the Republic of China (Taiwan) can result in an individual’s employment permit being revoked, an order to leave the country within a fixed period of time and not being allowed to return to work
