To share Taiwan’s epidemic prevention efforts and measures taken in the fight against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Health and Welfare established a dedicated COVID-19 website titled “Crucial policy for combating COVID-19”. The website features information about all epidemic prevention strategies formulated by the central and local governments and provides the timeline of these strategies to share the Taiwan Model and successful factors in containing COVID-19 with the public and the international community. The English version of the website has four main sections: timeline COVID-19, successful factors, healthcare system and major policy.
1. Timeline COVID-19: It shows the number of confirmed cases of Taiwan and worldwide. The graph shows the context of Taiwan's various advance deployment decisions in comparison with decision-making time points.
2. Successful factors: It has eight factors, which are SARS experience, Central Epidemic Command Center, Information Transparency, Good resource allocation, Timely border control, Smart community transmission prevention, Advanced medical technology, Good etiquette of citizen. A simple, line-by-line narrative, with pictures for a brief description. The success of epidemic prevention depends on the central and local governments working together to fight the COVID-19 and the cooperation of the good etiquette of citizen.
3. Healthcare system: Taiwan has worked hard in the field of medicine and health for a long time in the past to establish an excellent foundation for health care and to effectively and quickly implement epidemic prevention.
4. Major policy: CECC describes in detail the major policy content of the epidemic prevention process.
