Refunding the purchases of digital learning materials has caused many disputes due to sales’ tricks. Some falsely claim to be official promoters from the government, others self-claim to be teachers caring for children’s school work, and still another take advantage of parent-child charitable events to promote the sales.
Consumer Ombudsman Officers remind consumers of making good use of the 7-day hesitation period (also known as trial period) and making sure to “Stop,” “Examine,” and “Listen” – “Stop” refers to not doing impulse purchases; “Examine” refers to signing contracts after careful examinations; and “Listen” refers to collecting more sellers’ information.
