To lower the dental caries rate of children, Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare provides the fluoride application to teeth for pre-school children aged 6 or below every half year at any contracted dental care institution under National Health Insurance. To prevent the dental caries and maintain the health of periodontal tissues, children should take care of their oral cavity and visit the dentist on a regular basis.
