The rights and interests of the workers who suffer occupational accidents are protected by the Labor Standards Act and the Labor Insurance Act, which govern the compensation and insurance benefits. Moreover, the Family Assistance Project regulates that disability subsidies (such as living allowance, device subsidy, care-taking subsidy), as well as death subsidies. The Ministry of Labor has also launched the Family Assistance Project to help workers and their families address such adversity related to occupational accidents. We aim to help workers return to their jobs in time through these measures.
Current benefits, subsidies and assistance for workers who suffer occupational accidents are regulated by different acts. Therefore, the Ministry of Labor has established a one-stop information center to instantly provide useful knowledge. In case of any occupational accidents, the center can help workers and their families exercise their rights including applicable compensations, insurance benefits, subsidies or assistance, etc., as well as the employer’s obligation to compensate for such loss.
