Registration of Post-divorce Exercise of Rights and Performance of Obligations regarding a Minor Child

Either or both of the parties may exercise the rights and perform the obligations regarding their minor child after the divorce. Such application must be filed at any household registration office. Required documents include a written agreement on exercising the rights and performing the obligations in regards to their minor child or a written decision along with a certificate proving that the decision has become final and binding (or the record of mediation or settlement), the applicant’s national ID card and personal seal (signature acceptable), and the household certificate proving the child’s registered residence.

The proxy on behalf of an applicant shall present a power of attorney, and the proxy’s national ID card and personal seal (signature acceptable). An overseas applicant shall also have his/her proxy present a power of attorney or letter of authorization certified by a diplomatic mission or a government-approved institute.
