“New Perspectives for Immigrants” Reading Promotion Project by New Taipei City

In consideration of the cultural differences between Taiwan and Southeast Asian countries, the New Taipei City Library has planned the “New Perspectives for Immigrants” project for promotion of reading. The four-year project (from 2015 to 2018) aims to improve cultural adaptation and communication for immigrants.
A wide variety of activities will be organized using our library spaces and wide collection of books. The project is themed around the following five topics:
1.Training of reading comprehension
2.Family education
3.Learning through interactive multimedia
4.Cultivation of aesthetics
5.Cultural exchanges and Exhibitions
