1.Continuation elementary and junior high schools
Criteria:
(1)Continuation elementary schools: The age requirement is 12 or above. Applicants are grouped by school testing or by credentials such as certificate of completion of adult basic education.
(2)Continuation junior high schools: The age requirement is 15 or above. Applicants must have an elementary education degree or equivalent, or have passed the tests required for homeschooling.
2.Adult basic education
(1)Criteria: We offer two free programs, which are “Adult basic education” and “Chinese literacy education for foreign spouses.” The classes are available to illiterate Hsinchu City citizens (including foreign spouses) aged 15 or older who do not have an elementary school degree.
(2)The classes consist of 72 hours of literacy programs (beginner, middle, and advanced). Students are encouraged to continue learning, and to study at a continuation elementary school after completing the advanced program to pursue an official degree.
