Occupational Injury and Compensation

In terms of protecting rights of employees who are injured on duty, employees will receive occupational injury compensation and insurance subsidy according to the Labor Standards Act and Labor Insurance Act. Also, employees will also receive life premium for occupationally injured labors, subsidies for assistive technology and equipment, subsides for hiring caregivers, and other compensation for disability and death according to Act for Protecting Worker of Occupational Accidents. In addition, Ministry of Labor promotes initiative service program for an individual case of occupationally injured employees to assist the employees and their family to go through the hardship and let them return to the workplace as early as they can.
Currently, there are different laws and regulations stating right protection and compensation measures for occupationally injured employees to enable them retrieving useful information when they experience injury on duty accidentally. Ministry of Labor provides a special zone for this special topic to assist employees and their family in understanding what compensation, insurance payment, subsidies, or assistant services they can have as well as employers’ obligations for providing compensation for the injury.
