For economically under-privileged new inhabitants (including China, Hong Kong, Macao), apply National Health Insurance subsidy before the household registration to ease on the health insurance fee.
The subsidy targets the new inhabitants of low-income and medium-to-low-income families who are in line with the social assistance law, before the household registration completed (including widows who are not remarried, divorcees raising minor children alone in Taiwan.). For low-income families, full subsidy of deductible for new inhabitants prior to household registration. 1/2 of the deductible for new inhabitants prior to household registration in medium-to-low-income families.
