In response to the severe and special infectious pneumonia epidemic, the National Taxation Bureau of all regions will stop providing counter services for income tax declaration until 28th May 2021.

In response to the announcement made by the Central Epidemic and Epidemic Command Center on 15th May 2021 to raise the epidemic alert in both Taipei City and New Taipei City to 3rd Level from 15th May to 28th May, many other cities and counties had immediately raised the epidemic alert to pre-third level as well. As the date line for income tax declaration had been extended to 30th June and to prevent the spread of the epidemic, The Ministry of Finance announced that the National Taxation Bureau of all regions would stop providing counter services for income tax declaration until 28th May 2021.
Explanation from the Ministry of Finance:
In response to the current severe COVID-19 epidemic, both Taipei City and New Taipei City had raised the epidemic alert to 3rd Level from 15th May to 28th May. Minister of Finance made announcement on 15th May that all the National Taxation Bureau of Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung City, Taoyan City, Yilan County would stop providing counter services for income tax declaration until 28th May 2021(include checking income, assisting online tax declaration and delivering supporting documents, etc.)
To protect your own self and others during the epidemic, Minister of Finance appeal to the public to file their tax declaration online by using smart phones, tablets, or computers, and to use different ways, such as credit card, mobile payment, entrusted transfer, convenience store, etc. to pay for their taxes. If the public has problems in filing for tax declaration, please make the inquiry by telephone (refer to the telephone numbers of the National Taxation Bureau of each region) or thru fan page to reduce the risk of group infection.
