The National Taiwan Museum is the first to recruit immigrant volunteers as guides, who offer services in their native languages to guest workers from Southeast Asia. We hope to promote the cultural interaction between Taiwan and Southeast Asia. These cultural ambassadors help immigrants and guest workers from Southeast Asia gain a better understanding of the island’s natural and cultural charms. Since September 2014 when the recruitment began, we now have 10 volunteers working for the training program starting from March 2015. The training covers the introduction to the building and history of the museum, exhibitions, guiding techniques, etc.
