The Department of Civil Affairs, Taipei City Government has founded the nation’s first two New Immigrants' Halls in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Aimed to help immigrants adapt to new surroundings, the halls not only expose citizens and families with immigrant members to cultural diversity, but also serve as a crucial base of social interactions and support networks.
