The Ministry of the Interior has launched the “Guidance for Foreign Spouses” project that offers care and counseling services for foreign spouses. The project aims to help foreign spouses adapt to living in Taiwan and create a culturally diverse society, where families with immigrant members may be relieved of adaptation issues, which can cause social conflict. This project addresses foreign, stateless or naturalized spouses, as well as spouses from mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau.
