**Eligibility
The child-raising allowance for children aged 2-4 is available to children aged 2 and under 5 years (click here to see the date of birth range applicable for each month) possessing ROC citizenship and comply with the following requirements:
Both of the Child's parents or guardians’ latest tax-office approved income tax rates are below 20%.
Not currently receiving unpaid parental leave allowance for caring for the Child.
The Child is not attending any publicized preschool (public nursery, non-profit nursery, community or tribal educare center, special education school) or quasi-public preschool.
The Child is not placed in a public-funded children's home.
** Implementation Schedule
Effective from August 2019, open for application from August 1st.
** Required documents
Parents or guardians of the Child shall submit the following documents:
The child-raising allowance (aged 2-4) application form (signature of both parents or guardians are required). Click here to download the application form for each county (city).
Copies of the Child and the Applicant's (both parents or guardians) ID document (such as ID card, household registration, or alien resident certificate/passport for foreign nationals)
Copy of the Child or the Applicant's (either parent or guardian) bank account passbook cover.
Other related supporting information (such as certificates for third child and beyond.)
If the Applicant authorizes someone to send the application, he/she must sign in the power of attorney field on the form. The authorized person shall submit the aforementioned documents along with the application form.
** Where to apply
Both of the Child's parents or guardians shall submit the application form and aforementioned documents to the following location (based on where the Child's household is registered) :
For Chiayi City: please apply in person or send by post to the joint village office.
For the rest 21 counties/cities: please apply in person or send by post to the township/city/district office where the Child's household is registered.
** Allowance base
General family: NT$2,500 per child per month.
For the third child and beyond: Extra NT$1,000 on top of the original NT$2,500, making it NT$3,500 in total.
** Time of payment
Once the application is approved, the government will disburse the child-raising allowance to the Applicant's (either parent, guardian or the child) designated account by the end of each month, starting from the following month of the application date.
