(PrEP) Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV

Recommended by WHO in 2015, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) remains the best strategy for preventing HIV infections. As the number of people at a high risk of HIV infection grows, not everyone can stick to condoms or choose their sexual partners to prevent HIV infection. PrEP has proven to be an effective way of reducing the chances of HIV infection to the minimum for certain groups of people (such as those who are sexually active but do not/cannot use condoms, or the partners of those who are HIV positive).
