Food Company Must Register Before Starting Business Operation

According to Article 8 of the Act Governing Food Safety and Sanitation, a public announcement was made by Taiwan Food and Drug Administration stating food companies that are required to apply for a registration but not yet do so shall take action within the time limit or the violator shall be subject to a fine of more than NT$30,000 and less than NT$3,000,000. In addition, the food companies shall declare in July every year to confirm that its registration contents remain to be truthful.
