The act sets out minimum standards for working conditions, protects employees’ rights and interests, strengthens employee-employer relationships and promotes social and economic development. The rights of workers to whom the act applies will be guaranteed. As for businesses or industries to which the act applies, the terms and conditions between an employer and a worker shall not be less favorable than the minimum standards provided in the act.
