Ministry of Labor Provides Living Allowance for Vocational Training

(1) Unemployed new immigrants who participate in vocational training courses offered by Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor can apply for a full subsidy for the training fees.

(2) If a new immigrant is unemployed, he or she, after having a consultation with public employment service agency and starting to participate in training, or being selected to join training programs by vocational training units, can receive vocational training living allowance during his or her training period based on the regulation. The amount of living allowance, according to Ministry of Labor’s announcement, is 60% of monthly basic salary.
