Financial Aid for the Underprivileged

To alleviate the burden on the financially disadvantaged, authorities have drawn up budgets as subsidies for full or partial coverage of national health insurance (NHI), according to the National Health Insurance Act or other applicable laws. Beneficiaries include: members of a low-income household, mentally or physically challenged people, seniors aged at least 70 or minors aged under 18 from a mid- or low-income household, aboriginals aged under 20 or at least 55 enrolled in Category 6, as well as the unemployed and their dependents.
