WeiZhi Wu, Director of Labor Affairs Bureau, said there are 58,598 new immigrants in Taichung City, which ranked 4th among new immigrant populations in Taiwan. With cultural difference, it is hard for new immigrants to find a job. To solve this dilemma, Labor Affairs Bureau continued to organize "New Immigrant Industry Chain Workshop", which was popular and the number of participants increased year by year. This year, Labor Affairs Bureau invited FM Hotel, Sufiya Beauty Studio, and Yaya Lunch Box to organize 18 workshops. Through senior lecturers and on-site hands-on experience, help new immigrants understand the workplace environment and learn vocational skills.

ShuLing Xu, Deputy Director of Taichung City Employment Service Office, said we also provide Leading Courses for new immigrants to comprehend the foundation of career and find their own professional skills. In response to the COVID19 situation, all event venues will be disinfected in advance, and provide anti-epidemic measures such as temperature measurement and requirements for wearing masks for participants.
